What is KhodaaBloom's cross bike "RAIL"?

 ●Common Features of the RAIL Series

Although slightly different in shape for disc brakes, rim brakes, and mini velos, the series commonly uses Khodaabloom's unique "EAST L" aluminum, which is triple-butted for an excellent balance of weight and rigidity.

A V-brake frame for a cross bike weighing 1350g is as light as an aluminum road bike!

• Furthermore, smooth welding (manual grinding of weld areas) is applied, which not only improves aesthetic appeal but also enhances durability.

Furthermore, the abundance of included parts is another reason why KhodaaBloom is said to offer good value for money.

For the RAIL series disc brake models, a stand and a front light are standard equipment, as with the 2024 models.

Unfortunately, for the rim brake (V-brake) models in 2025, the front light is no longer included, and only the stand comes as standard equipment.

A total of six models have been announced as part of the 2025 RAIL series. This is half the number of models from the 2024 lineup, which had 12 models.

Models featuring Shimano GRX have been discontinued, limited models have been reduced, and mini velos have been discontinued, effectively reducing the number of "unusual" models.

Additionally, new models did not involve frame design changes, but rather modifications to component configurations and colors.

Disc Brake Models: Generally continued from 2024 models. Prices and specifications remain unchanged. However, some models are indicated as discontinued by the manufacturer, which means new models may be announced mid-2025.

Rim Brake (V-brake) Models: Prices and specifications have changed. Details will be provided for each model, but the price has increased and the previously included "front light" has been discontinued, affecting cost-effectiveness.

●How to choose your RAIL series bike

Even with a significantly reduced lineup, few brands release six models in the same series, which can still be a lot for a first-time cross bike buyer. So, here's a simple guide on how to choose from the RAIL series!

First, all KhodaaBloom "RAIL" series cross bikes share a "lightweight + long wheelbase" design, which means they are best suited for maintaining a consistent speed over long distances rather than rapid acceleration.

Additionally, the long head tube length and upright riding position contribute to excellent handling, making these models safe for beginners.

Therefore, the key to choosing is to find a model where the different component configurations and prices for each grade offer specifications that are neither excessive nor insufficient for your needs.

【What are the right specs for me?】

First, you can choose from two types of brakes: the popular "rim brake (V-brake)" for cross bikes, and the "hydraulic disc brake," which is becoming a new standard.

Hydraulic disc brakes offer the advantages of strong braking with light effort and consistent stopping power even in bad weather. Additionally, they require less frequent replacement of consumables compared to V-brakes (although a single V-brake maintenance might be cheaper, the reduced frequency means hydraulic disc brakes are not necessarily more expensive to maintain).

The advantage of V-brakes is their simple construction. With a little learning, you can perform maintenance yourself, which offers peace of mind for roadside issues. Another plus is the lower initial cost◎

Hydraulic disc brake models include "RAIL DISC EX" or "RAIL DISC."
V-brake models include "RAIL Light," "RAIL ACTIVE," or "RAIL ST."

It's best to choose the one whose advantages align with your needs.〇

Next, let's talk about differences in grade. For daily use (as a substitute for a mama-chari), all models offer more than enough performance, so you can choose according to your budget!

The next consideration is whether you want to use it for activities like cycling.

・If you're focusing entirely on daily use: "RAIL ST"
・If you use it daily but cover longer distances, or want to do light cycling occasionally: "RAIL ACTIVE" or "RAIL DISC" are recommended.
・If you use it daily but also want to seriously cycle: "RAIL Light" or "RAIL DISC EX"

It's not that cheap cross bikes can't handle long rides. Specifications are merely a supportive element for the rider. Ultimately, it depends on the rider's physical ability.
