In 2010, founder Peter Dering developed the first product, "Capture," after experiencing the inconvenience of "not being able to quickly take out his camera" during his round-the-world trip. He successfully raised funds on the crowdfunding site "Kickstarter," and its high functionality and design quality quickly gained support among photographers and outdoor users.
Since then, Peak Design has focused on developing gear for "shooting, carrying, and organizing." They continue to develop products using high-quality materials, minimalist designs, and a strong commitment to environmental considerations.
