About MARTE's Frame Performance

MARTE features a chromoly frame with an exquisite color balance.

The color "SIENA TERRA" is truly difficult to convey in photos, named after the earth of Siena, Italy. Siena is a city famous for its medieval brick buildings, and the color likely evokes those bricks.

Anyway, it's a subtle color whose true shade is hard to capture in photos. If possible, we encourage you to see it in person at the store. We believe it's a color unlike any other.

The frame geometry adopts a "road bike-leaning" design for a gravel bike that doesn't sacrifice performance on paved roads.

Pure gravel bikes typically feature a lower center of gravity for stability on rough terrain (gravel) and for carrying loads. However, this often compromises agility on paved roads.

In Japan, even when trying to ride gravel, it's often necessary to cover a good amount of paved uphill sections.

Considering this, MARTE's design is perfectly suited for Japan's terrain ◎

The head tube and steerer tube lengths offer ample room, providing an upright setup for easier handling control even during gravel rides.

The chainstay length is slightly shorter for a gravel bike, and the BB DROP is closer to that of a road bike.

These aspects contribute to its road bike-leaning design, which doesn't sacrifice performance on paved roads.

While the number of eyelets on the frame isn't exceptionally high for a gravel bike, it is fully equipped to accommodate carriers and mudguards.

The front fork is also made of chromoly for durability.

About MARTE's Parts Configuration

The basic specifications include Shimano CLARIS (2×8 SPEED).

For commuting and school use in the city, as well as light cycling including gravel, the specifications are more than adequate.

The brakes are flat-mount mechanical disc brakes. For those considering tackling gravel or hill climbs, this area might be a good point for customization.

A welcome point, on the other hand, is that despite the affordable price, both front and rear thru-axles are adopted. This provides high rigidity and effectively handles the strong stopping power of disc brakes.

The wheel rims are made by ALEXRIMS and are tubeless-ready.

The tires are the excellent Panaracer GRAVELKING (700×38c) as standard.

Clearance seems to have some room with 38c tires. It might be difficult for aggressive gravel riding with very wide tires.
