A chromoly bike that's a bit different from popular cross bikes, featuring wider tires (650B)!

This time, we'd like to introduce the "JAMIS SEQUEL S2," which possesses a tough and cushioned performance similar to a rigid MTB!

Differences between "Continued Models" and "New Models"

The current (2024) model lineup for "SEQUEL S2" includes two types: the "Shimano DEORE (10-speed) model" and the "Shimano CUES (10-speed) model."

Typically, sports bicycles are categorized by model year, but JAMIS is a rare brand that differentiates its models by "version" rather than model year.

Therefore, there are differences in specifications depending on when they were released, but they exist in the lineup at the same time.

*To avoid confusion for our customers, we have set our own model years. DEORE => 2023-2024 continued model, CUES => 2024 model.

About the frame and parts configuration of SEQUEL S2

Although there are differences in specs, the frames are identical in material and design, differing only in color.

The frame is made of thin yet strong "REYNOLDS 520" chromoly tubing. This provides a supple ride, reduces fatigue over long distances, and offers excellent durability◎

The SEQUEL S2 features JAMIS's unique "SSD (SIZE SPECIFIC DESIGN)" standard.

This standard minimizes differences in ride quality due to frame size, ensuring that all sizes deliver the optimal ride quality JAMIS envisions.

In fact, while other brands offer size variations based on height, few models change the design of the rear triangle (seat stay, chain stay) for each size.

Naturally, preparing multiple sizes of components would increase costs, so this is considered unavoidable to offer a stable price. However, JAMIS's commitment to achieving "the best riding feel in any size" is a welcome feature◎

Equipped with a total of 6 bolt mounts on the top tube, two bottle cage mounts, under the down tube, and on both sides of the front fork, allowing for the attachment of bottle cages, carriers, mudguards, and more.

This allows for various customizations for carrying items, such as bike packing, carrier & pannier style, or baskets, making it suitable for a wide range of uses, from daily commuting to serious touring◎

The bike is equipped with WTB's "650B x 47c" Road Plus standard tires. These tires have almost the same outer diameter as the popular "700 x 28c" tires used on cross bikes. They offer a light ride both on and off-road, with excellent cushioning and stability◎

Furthermore, the tire knobs feature a center slick with side knobs, making them highly recommended for light rolling on paved roads!

The brakes are hydraulic disc brakes with a flat mount standard. They provide strong stopping power with minimal effort, and their effectiveness remains consistent even in bad weather.

JAMIS SEQUEL S2 While the design differs, a single front gear is used. This simple setup allows for only rear gear changes. It offers intuitive operation and reduces maintenance risks◎

Furthermore, both models feature a narrow-wide chainring, which reduces the risk of chain derailment.

For wheel attachment, a 12mm thru-axle standard is adopted. This reliably withstands the high braking force of hydraulic disc brakes and significantly reduces the risk of wheel detachment.

The new 2024 model sees the return of "DESERT STORM" and the introduction of "FLAT STEEL," which was also used in the brand's masterpiece gravel road bike "RENEGADE," making for a total of two color options!

The JAMIS SEQUEL series is not about "making things to sell," but rather about "making things from the user's perspective" after purchase, a phrase that perfectly describes this model◎
