Q’AUTO generates electricity through the rear hub while riding and uses that power to operate the Di2 rear derailleur. Unlike conventional electronic shifting systems, there is no need to periodically recharge a battery.

Automatic Shifting Based on Speed, Cadence and Gradient

Sensors built into the rear hub detect speed, pedaling cadence and road gradient. Q’AUTO then automatically selects an appropriate gear based on the riding conditions.

When you slow down at a traffic light, it shifts into an easier gear to make starting again easier. As your speed increases, it moves into a harder gear to prevent you from spinning out. The system adjusts the gearing to suit the situation without requiring the rider to operate the shifter every time.

This Is Not an E-Bike
