The 2025 model's standard colors are "MAT BLACK" and "MAT SILVER."

MAT BLACK gives the impression of a revival of the 2022 model's color. By using decals in the same color as the frame, it achieves a simple design that doesn't overly emphasize the brand logo. Excellent!

"BK × BK" is a classic combination in the cross bike world, isn't it!

The other color option is "MAT SILVER." In contrast to MAT BLACK, this design is cohesively monochrome. Excellent!

Silver can be a bit hard to capture in photos, but it features a bright silver. Black components and decals appear even darker, creating a design with clear contrasts.

The standard colors offer a simple yet cool impression. They're perfectly designed as classic models!

Introduction to the Limited Color Series 

The 2025 model will feature limited edition colors (3 options) with a limited production run!

The "MAT WOODS" color appears rust-like from a distance. This design is inspired by the "American Cedar (Redwood)" used in the renewed MARIN BIKES JAPAN original logo for the 2025 model.

*MARIN BIKES is a brand born in Marin County, California, USA. The ancient redwoods in Muir Woods National Monument within Marin County are likely a symbolic presence for the region!

And then there's the gradient two-tone "MAT TURQ / MAT PINK," which is the most eye-catching of this collection.

This design is inspired by the two- to three-color gradient designs often seen on mountain bikes around the 90s, combining MARIN's corporate colors of turquoise and pink.

Lastly, my personal favorite of this collection is "GROSS AURORA." It adopts a color-shifting (chameleon) effect that changes depending on the viewing angle.

While color-shifting, polarizing colors have become common these days, the "GROSS AURORA" on this model has a subtle and elegant impression.

Above all, most of MARIN's NICASIO SE models feature matte colors, so the adoption of a gloss color is quite rare. Excellent!

The three colors in the LIMITED COLOR series feature a surprisingly bold color lineup for the NICASIO SE series. These models truly give off a "limited edition" feel!

The basic specifications of the NICASIO SE include a 1x8 speed (Shimano Altus) drivetrain.

By using a single front gear, shifting operations are simplified, which also helps to prevent mechanical problems. Excellent!

It's configured simply based on feedback that many urban users don't need multiple front gears.

Mechanical disc brakes from TEKTRO are used for the braking system.

Both shifting and braking are designed with simple configurations, indicating consideration for preventing mechanical issues!

The tires are the WTB Horizon (650b×47), which have become a staple of the NICASIO SE series. These are high-volume, cushioned slick tires. Excellent!

About NICASIO SE Frame Performance

The NICASIO SE features a chromoly frame, known for its excellent vibration absorption and durability.

The frame is designed with a longer wheelbase and a slightly lower center of gravity, offering excellent stability and maneuverability.

The head tube length and steerer tube also have ample allowance, allowing for an upright riding position. Excellent!

Since the NICASIO series in its home country is positioned as a gravel and touring bike, the NICASIO SE is designed to maintain stability even when loaded!

It also features plenty of eyelets for mounting rear racks and fenders.

The fact that eyelets are also provided on both sides of the front fork and underneath the downtube gives the impression that it truly is a gravel road frame. Excellent!
