About RFT frame performance

The RFT (Radford Traditional), which features a classic British design, adopts a chromoly frame excellent in durability + vibration absorption.

In terms of geometry, a long wheelbase is characteristic, with an emphasis on straight-line stability.

The head tube length is a bit shorter for a cross bike. This seems to be done to maintain the beautiful silhouette of the frame. The head tube length is adjusted to allow for some room in the steerer tube, so that the riding position isn't too aggressive for a cross bike.

Utilizing the long wheelbase, a center stand mounting boss is provided. Being able to attach a center stand with high holding power and stability is a welcome feature!

In addition, the frame is designed with sufficient expandability for daily use, such as carriers and fenders.

As an aside, the cable routing includes a down tube shifter boss, so those who want a more classic custom build can convert it to down tube shifters.

The intricate logo design is also well-crafted, making it a captivating frame with a design that sets it apart from other cross bikes and performance focused on everyday life!

About RFT parts configuration

The parts configuration also carefully balances classic design and functionality.

While popular cross bikes today typically use black for handlebars and seatposts, the RFT uses silver to match its classic design.

The saddle, grips, and tire sidewall colors are brown, which, as the model name suggests, makes for a traditional design.

If you want to add more depth, we recommend customizing it with leather items like Brooks in the future!

And in terms of functionality, a popular 3×8-speed drivetrain is adopted for cross bikes.

Sufficient specifications for daily use in the city and casual cycling.

Additionally, the front gear is equipped with a bash guard, which protects against chain grease, a welcome feature for everyday use.

The brakes feature modern Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. These excellent brakes allow for reliable speed control with minimal grip, and maintain braking power even in bad weather.

The tires come standard at 700x28c. While 28c is a common width for cross bikes, the actual measurement gives a slightly thinner impression due to the nature of the tire.

There's a fair amount of tire clearance, so 30-32c seems to be fine!

While the wheels are not entirely Shimano, the hubs are chosen from Shimano.
