About the ALTERR Frame

The ALTERR frame is made of chromoly, which offers excellent vibration absorption and durability. For fans, "ATB means chromoly" is an obvious choice.

Also, the pipe diameter of the ALTERR's frame feels a little thicker compared to popular modern models. This was probably done to evoke a vintage feel!

Furthermore, instead of simply reintroducing an old model, it's packed with many bolt mounts placed in various locations, as if to accommodate all modern parts and accessories. Fenders, carriers, racks, baskets – it's great that most things can be attached!

About the ALTERR Parts Configuration

The ALTERR features a 1x8 speed, single front chainring setup.

A single front chainring is a modern trend. Its simple appearance and intuitive operation are popular.

The front gear having a bash guard is a welcome feature for everyday use.

The tires chosen are "26x1.95" HE standard, which are becoming less common these days. While fewer complete bikes are using 26-inch wheels these days, they are still very much in active use for repairs, so you won't have trouble finding aftermarket parts.

The 26-inch standard pairs well with Japanese cityscapes and body types. There aren't many roads where you can ride at high speeds, and even asphalt roads can be bumpy, not to mention urban bumps and steps. Compared to 700c, 26-inch tires offer better maneuverability, and thicker tires provide reliable grip for peace of mind. Gravel roads and sandy riverbanks are no problem.

Personally, I believe this is one standard that, while not needed in abundance, should definitely be preserved!

The ALTERR's rims are polished aluminum. It's impressive that they chose polished rims!

...Rather, I'm amazed they found them. Who knew mass-produced 26-inch disc brake polished rims were even possible? 💦

Polished rims are essential for creating a classic look. Still, I can't help but wonder if they were quite expensive (laughs).

The handlebars feature a wide 650mm width with a strong rise, coupled with a longer stem.

They've chosen exquisite handlebars that allow for cutting to comply with traffic laws while maintaining a classic impression.

With an angled stem and raised handlebars, the riding posture is upright.

A classic saddle was also chosen.

The ALTERR's parts configuration creates a classic look without sacrificing functionality. With consideration for compatibility with modern parts, the customization possibilities are quite extensive.
