Since its introduction in 1979, the MKS "SYLVAN TOURING" has been a long-standing favorite as a classic touring pedal. Inheriting its perfected classical design while adopting the name "NEXT" for modern evolution, the "SYLVAN TOURING NEXT" from [MKS / Mikashima Industrial Co.] is here.
The biggest evolutionary point is the triple-sealed bearings, which have replaced the conventional cup-and-cone structure. This significantly reduces rotational resistance, achieving an astonishingly smooth pedaling feel.
The wide tread on both sides firmly supports the sole of the foot, reducing fatigue even on long tours. Furthermore, it is over 50g lighter than the previous model, and with a lower stack height, pedaling efficiency has also improved.
The classic side plate design and pedaling feel remain, while the finish has been refined down to the smallest detail. The mirror-polished aluminum body naturally blends with a wide range of bicycles, from rando-bikes and sportives to chromoly road bikes and urban commuters.
