SALSA CYCLES TIMBERJACK FRAME | An aluminum trail frame that evolves with your riding style
Trail riding or bikepacking. A highly versatile MTB frame that changes its character depending on how it's built.
The TIMBERJACK FRAME is Salsa Cycles' popular aluminum frame that combines modern trail geometry with excellent versatility. It can be built as a nimble trail bike, and it also excels as an adventure bike for long-distance touring with luggage.
The frame is made from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum. Double/triple butting achieves both lightness and durability, providing a supple and easy-to-handle ride feel.
The progressive design, combining a 66° head angle and a 75° seat tube angle, achieves a high level of stability on descents and climbing performance. It handles everything from technical singletrack to long rides.
Furthermore, the Alternator 2.0 dropouts allow for chainstay length adjustment and single-speed conversion. Combined with abundant mounting points and full internal cable routing, you can build a highly customizable bike.

The appeal of the TIMBERJACK lies in the enjoyment of "how to build it" rather than as a complete bike. You can build it as a lightweight trail setup, or outfit it with racks and bags for bikepacking.
The Alternator 2.0 allows you to adjust the chainstay length, making it interesting that you can lean towards quick handling or more stability. You can customize the bike's character to your liking.
With abundant mounts and internal cable routing, it's highly practical and an excellent base frame for long-term use. We recommend this model for those who want to enjoy both trails and touring with one bike.
