About the UNIT-X Frame Performance

The UNIT X features a slender yet rugged chromoly frame with a heavy-duty aesthetic. It employs "Reynolds 520 Butted Cromoly" tubing from the long-established British tube manufacturer.

It features a chromoly rigid fork, similar to the frame.

The frame and fork are equipped with numerous eyelets in various locations, making them useful for adventure and touring.

The robust chromoly frame is truly an adventure bike, inviting riders to explore all kinds of terrains.

It features "slider dropouts," which are rare on mass-produced complete bikes. Extending the rear center creates a stable dirt tourer for carrying luggage. Conversely, shortening it results in a quick trail bike that's easy to maneuver.

It can also be converted to a single-speed, making it popular for its ability to enjoy a ride tailored to your preferences.

It also supports internally routed dropper seatposts, so you can enjoy it as a more serious MTB!

UNIT-X Part Configuration

The UNIT-X's components feature a SHIMANO DEORE 12-speed drivetrain, combining reliability, durability, and cost performance.

The crank is a Prowheel hollow-shaft crank.

SHIMANO hydraulic disc brakes are also used. They offer not only strong braking power but also excellent control. They are also easy to repair, making them highly recommended overall.

The saddle is the standard WTB VOLT, featuring the KONA logo.

While not flashy, it is a highly-regarded saddle for its seamless integration with off-road bikes and comfortable seating.

Since WTB saddles became standard on complete bikes, there seems to be less need for custom saddle upgrades to alleviate butt pain...

The tires are standard 29x2.6 semi-fat tires.

The striking contrast between the "straight, slender chromoly frame" and the "voluminous tires" creates a cool aesthetic.

Although it's a rigid MTB, the 2.6-inch air volume provides a wide contact patch, resulting in excellent off-road capability.
