Since its introduction in 1979, the MKS "SYLVAN" series has been a classic, supported by many cyclists. The "SYLVAN ROAD NEXT" by MKS / MIKASHIMA Manufacturing Co., Ltd. inherits its classical design and feel while evolving into a modern pedal with enhanced rotational performance.

Its greatest feature is the "triple sealed bearings" adopted in place of the conventional cup & cone structure. The smooth feel, which minimizes rotational resistance, greatly contributes to reducing fatigue during long rides and improving pedaling efficiency.

The mirror-finished aluminum body pairs well with beautiful chromoly road bikes and classic touring bikes. While retaining the traditional quill pedal aesthetic, it also achieves a modern riding feel through weight reduction and a slimmer profile.
