SALSA CYCLES WARBIRD CARBON GRX 600 1X | A Gravel Racer That Takes You Beyond Speed

A gravel bike that combines race-proven speed with comfort that makes you want to keep riding forever.

Though developed for gravel racing, its appeal isn't limited to just speed. The SALSA CYCLES WARBIRD CARBON GRX 600 1X is a bike that brilliantly fuses the ability to efficiently navigate rough terrain with the comfort needed to sustain long rides.

The frame features Salsa's proprietary Class 5™ VRS (Vibration Reduction System). Vertically compliant seatstays and a bridgeless design effectively absorb road vibrations, reducing rider fatigue during long rides and gravel races.

A low bottom bracket height, stable wheelbase, and the combination of a long top tube and short stem provide confident handling at high speeds. It delivers composed control even on rough descents and challenging forest roads.

The drivetrain uses Shimano GRX 600 1x. The simplicity of a single front chainring and excellent chain retention minimize shifting issues on rough terrain, allowing you to focus on your ride.

Furthermore, with abundant mounting points and excellent tire clearance, it's versatile enough for racing, long rides, and lightweight bikepacking. This gravel racer isn't bound by a single purpose, letting you enjoy your ride freely.

While the WARBIRD is often perceived as a race bike, riders are often surprised by its high level of comfort.

The effect of Class 5™ VRS is significant, and I find that even after long rides on rough gravel, there is less strain on the body. It offers the brisk acceleration typical of a carbon frame, while maintaining a balance that prevents overly twitchy handling, which is also appealing.

The GRX 1x specification is simple to operate, making it easier to concentrate on line choice and road conditions. I believe it's easy to handle not only for those aiming for gravel races but also for those who want to enjoy long rides and adventure rides.

It's great to set it up as a nimble race machine with 700c wheels, or you can switch to 650b wheels for a more off-road oriented setup. This is the perfect bike for those who prioritize speed but don't want to limit their riding terrain.
