NITTO's classic stem "MT-16," which had been out of production for a long time, has been refined to suit modern cycling and resurrected as the "FW-36 VAN STEM."
Based on the MT-16, which disappeared due to aging molds, it has been updated to modern standards with the cooperation of Open Distribution. Its rugged, square silhouette and unique clamping structure have been preserved, retaining its original charm.
The distinctive face clamp, which fixes the handlebars by embracing them from above and below, not only offers a unique aesthetic but also contributes to high clamping power. It uses a 25.4mm handlebar clamp, which is becoming rare nowadays, making it ideal for combinations with handlebars like the HiHi-BAR, JAM-BAR, and SYNC BAR.
Its short 60mm extension makes it highly compatible with chromoly MTBs, commuter bikes, and touring bikes. It's a unique NITTO product where nostalgia and modernity coexist naturally.
