The MT-16, a classic NITTO stem that had been out of production for many years, has been refined for modern bikes and brought back as the FW-36 VAN STEM.
Originally discontinued due to aging production molds, the MT-16 has been updated to meet current standards with the support of Open Distribution. Its boxy, rugged silhouette and distinctive clamp construction preserve the character that made the original so appealing.
The unique face clamp secures the handlebar from above and below, contributing not only to its distinctive appearance but also to a firm and dependable hold. It uses a 25.4mm handlebar clamp, a size that has become increasingly uncommon today, making it an ideal match for bars such as the HiHi-BAR, JAM-BAR, and SYNC BAR.
With a short 60mm extension, it pairs especially well with chromoly MTBs, commuter bikes, and touring builds. It is a uniquely NITTO component where nostalgic character and modern usability come together naturally.
