Vintage ATB character meets modern strength standards. A BLUE LUG special-edition handlebar that feels equally at home in the city or on the trail.
Comfortable without feeling passive, and capable enough for genuinely playful riding. The NITTO × BLUE LUG Hi-bar was created to strike that carefully considered balance.
Its inspiration came from a vintage WALD riser bar discovered in a junk-parts yard. The distinctive silhouette and relaxed ride feel were retained, then reworked through NITTO’s craftsmanship to suit modern bicycles.
With a 720mm width and 100mm rise, the Hi-bar creates a comfortable position that naturally brings the rider’s upper body upright. A carefully balanced combination of backsweep and upsweep delivers a relaxed feel around town while still providing confident control on unpaved roads.
The special steel gray finish is another major part of its appeal. Neither black nor silver, this subtle color blends naturally with a wide range of bikes, from vintage MTBs and gravel bikes to everyday commuters.

Among BLUE LUG’s handlebars, the Hi-bar is one of the easiest to appreciate simply for the amount of fun it brings to the ride.
It creates a noticeably more relaxed position, but it is not designed for comfort alone. The geometry still provides confident control when riding out of the saddle or tackling unpaved roads. It pairs naturally with vintage MTB and ATB builds, while also adding a distinctive character to modern gravel bikes.
Above all, the steel gray finish is exceptionally well judged. It works equally well with silver or black components and helps bring the entire bike together naturally. It is an excellent choice for riders who want to improve both their riding position and the overall atmosphere of their bike at the same time.
◆Returns and Exchanges
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after it arrives.
- Parts, apparel, accessories, and other cycling goods may be returned or exchanged. Return and reshipping costs are covered either by the customer or by our store, depending on the circumstances.
- Complete bicycles cannot be returned or exchanged for reasons of customer preference. We will only accept returns in the event of a product defect or damage during delivery.

◆“In-store Stock” and “Special Order” Items
- “In-store Stock” items are currently available at an Eirin store or in our warehouse. Each item will be inspected before being dispatched.
- “Special Order” items are ordered from the manufacturer or an authorized Japanese distributor. After the item arrives, we conduct a final inspection before dispatch.
※If “In-store Stock” is unavailable, please select “Special Order.” We will contact you by email once the item has arrived from the supplier.
※If the manufacturer or distributor is also out of stock, the item cannot currently be purchased. Select the “Notify me when available” button to receive a restock notification.
◆From Order to Delivery
※① If an item is out of stock, we will contact you by email and ask whether you would like to change or cancel the item.
※② Items cannot be added, changed, or cancelled after the order has been confirmed.
※③ Once your order has been dispatched, we will email you with the shipping confirmation and tracking number.
◆Shipping Carrier
Orders are generally shipped by Seino Transportation.
Another shipping carrier may be used depending on the contents of your order or the delivery area.
◆Pickup at Eirin Stores in Kyoto City
- Shipping is free when you collect your order from one of our street-front stores in Kyoto City.
- Complete bicycles generally require approximately 1-2 weeks for assembly and inspection before pickup.
- Some parts and apparel are stored in our warehouse and may require approximately 1-5 days before they are ready for pickup.
※Due to system limitations, the following payment methods are available for store pickup orders:
Shop Pay, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, and JACCS Financing
Customers wishing to use another payment method should select standard delivery instead of store pickup.
◆Pickup at a Seino Transportation Branch
※Shipping for complete bicycles is free when the bicycle is collected from an eligible Seino Transportation branch.
- This service is available only for complete bicycles. Parts, cycling goods, apparel, and accessories are not eligible.
- For purchases under ¥55,000 including tax and excluding payment fees, the shipping charge is reduced to half of the standard rate.
- Different charges apply to Hokkaido, Okinawa, and remote islands. These charges are still lower than residential delivery rates.
