With a clean, solid design reminiscent of the satellite "Orbiter," this is MKS's next-generation flat pedal, named for the way the crank orbits and the pedal rotates.

Its greatest feature is its lightness, weighing in at 344g, making it the lightest MKS pedal in its class. By adopting a newly developed lightweight shaft and a sealed bearing and bushing structure, it achieves thorough weight reduction while maintaining high rigidity.

The platform size is designed to be a mid-size, fitting a wide range of riders. The precisely placed 11 spike pins and gently concave shape securely hold the foot, creating a high level of grip that feels as if your shoes are adhering to the pedal.

Furthermore, the ultra-thin design, ranging from a minimum of 5.6mm to a maximum of 11.8mm, provides both a direct pedaling feel and high ground clearance. For rotation performance, a setting that intentionally "doesn't spin too freely" has been adopted. By suppressing unintended pedal rotation, it supports quick pedal engagement during off-road riding.

The Orbiter, in my opinion, is an MKS pedal with a very "contemporary ride feel." Its lightness is immediately surprising, and its thinness provides a strong sense of unity with the pedal. You can really feel the power transfer directly when pedaling.

The grip is also exceptionally high, offering a sense of security even on gravel and trails. The spike pin placement is exquisite; it provides a firm hold yet allows for easy foot repositioning. And true to MKS, the fact that it's designed with repairability in mind is a welcome bonus.
