The BM-7 Brass For Circles is a special-edition pedal commissioned from MKS by Nagoya-based bicycle shop Circles after nearly three years of development.
It is based on the MKS BM-7, a classic design rooted in BMX pedals from the 1970s. By combining that proven platform with brass side plates, Circles has created a distinctive pedal that offers both dependable performance and the pleasure of watching its appearance evolve over time.
On the Black Paint Brass version, the black finish gradually wears away to reveal the brass underneath, creating a unique aged appearance. Raw Brass develops the subdued shine and changing tones characteristic of oxidized brass, and can also be polished and cared for as it matures.
The BM-7’s signature wave-shaped plates provide excellent grip on sneaker soles. A gently concave platform helps the foot settle naturally into place, supporting stable pedaling from everyday city rides to gravel adventures.
