Cycle Hatena (Marutamachi Branch) Shop Introduction

Cycle Hatena opened in March 2018 as an annex to Cycle Shop Eirin Marutamachi Store. (Located diagonally across from Eirin Marutamachi Store, at the northeast corner of Kawaramachi Marutamachi intersection)

"People don't grow when they get answers; they grow when they can ask questions." This is a quote from Etsuro Sotoo, the chief sculptor of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain.

We aim to be a shop that proposes accurate answers to the various "Hatena? (questions)" our customers have about bicycles, while at the same time, we, the staff, never rest on our laurels but continue to ask ourselves various "Hatena? (questions)" about bicycles, and constantly evolve and grow with everyone to make the bicycle industry and bicycle life better every day.

●Gravel Road / Touring Bikes & Gear

Our lineup focuses on gravel road and touring bikes from brands such as "BREEZER", "JAMIS", and "KONA".

In addition, we also propose bikes that can be truly enjoyed, regardless of brand.

We stock a wide variety of touring items such as bikepacking gear, carriers, and racks, as well as many one-of-a-kind items from garage brands and handmade brands.

We believe it is our mission to connect our customers with wonderful things, both domestically and internationally.

●Handmade / Custom-made frames

We also accept custom handmade bike orders, including "ALAM" and "Panasonic ORDER".

We will propose a special bike for you that seamlessly connects your daily life with your special hobby time.

We are a shop with staff who want to help you find the perfect bike and enjoyment that is just for you.

As staff members for whom "bicycles are both a hobby and a part of life," we are a bicycle shop that, based on the feedback from our accumulated bicycle experience, selects bikes, related items, and apparel that we genuinely "would want ourselves." We also stock camping-related items such as tents, bivies, and hammocks for outdoor activities.

●Apparel & Bikepacking Goods

All products displayed in our store are carefully selected and recommended by our staff.

We offer apparel with designs and functionalities that you'll want to wear both daily and camping, lightweight bikepacking bags that are easy to use in daily life, and more.

Our staff, who love the outdoors and enjoy cycling and camping on holidays, will propose items they genuinely believe are good, based on their knowledge and experience of "bicycles x outdoors."

In an age overflowing with over-spec and over-promoted products, we aim for items with appropriate, usable functionality, wonderful designs, and that "little bit of extra" that enriches your daily life and holidays.
