Bicycle registration is a notification to the police to prove that "the bicycle is yours."
Registering your bicycle makes it easier to find if it is stolen.

[About Registration Obligation]

According to the "Act on the Promotion of Safe Use of Bicycles and the Comprehensive Promotion of Parking Measures for Bicycles, etc.," bicycle registration is mandatory when purchasing a bicycle.
If you do not register with us, please register at a nearby bicycle shop, etc. Please note that some shops may only register "products sold at their own store."

[Registration at Our Store]

Bicycle registrations made at our store are under the jurisdiction of the Kyoto Prefectural Police, and the stickers will also be from the Kyoto Prefectural Police. The registration itself is valid nationwide, so even if you live outside Kyoto Prefecture, the registration is valid and there are no particular problems.

Bicycle registration at our store is only available for "bicycles purchased at our store." Please understand that we cannot register bicycles purchased at other stores.

If you order a bicycle and bicycle registration together, we will register it under the name, address, and phone number of the recipient.

If you wish to register under a name other than the recipient, please provide the desired "name, address, and phone number" in the remarks column.

About TS Mark Insurance

[What is TS Mark Insurance?]

A TS Mark is affixed to ordinary bicycles that have been inspected and confirmed by a bicycle safety mechanic. This mark includes liability insurance and personal injury insurance as supplementary coverage.

[Types of TS Mark Insurance]

There are three types of TS Marks: "Green," "Red," and "Blue," with different levels of compensation.
At our store, only "Red" TS Mark insurance is available.

[Red TS Mark Insurance Coverage]

• Liability Coverage (Applies when a person riding a bicycle causes death or severe disability to a third party, and is legally liable for damages.)…Death or Severe Disability (Grades 1-7) ⇒ (Limit) 100 million yen
• Injury Coverage (Applies when a person riding a bicycle suffers hospitalization, death, or severe disability within 180 days from the date of an accident caused by a traffic accident.)…Death or Severe Disability (Grades 1-4) ⇒ 1 million yen (fixed amount), Hospitalization (15 days or more) ⇒ 100,000 yen (fixed amount)
• Victim Consolation Payment (Applies when a person riding a bicycle causes injury to a third party and is legally liable for damages.)…Hospitalization for 15 days or more ⇒ 100,000 yen

This insurance applies to maintained bicycles, so it covers not only the policyholder but also family, friends, and employees.
