元祖ドロッパーシートポストシステム!「HITE-RITE(ハイライト)」をご紹介!

The original dropper seatpost system! Introducing "HITE-RITE"!

Those familiar with cycling will likely know that in the early 1970s, before mountain bikes even existed, there was a hippie community that used sturdy beach cruisers, typically used for newspaper delivery, to ride down mountains.

It is said that Joe Breeze, familiar from BREEZER BIKES and the only one in that community with welding skills, created the world's first precursor to what we now call the "mountain bike."

And he didn't stop there. By 1983, he had already developed the original concept for a part that is now indispensable in the modern MTB world:

The "dropper seatpost system," which allows riders to adjust the saddle height without dismounting – high for climbs and flats, low for descents.

That's what I'm introducing today ↓↓

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, but whether it's for an MTB, gravel bike, cyclocross bike, or even an old MTB customized for path hunting, this is truly exciting!

Developed by Joe Breeze, the father of the MTB, this revolutionary product for quick saddle height adjustment is still available today.

It attaches to the seatpost and seat quick release. This "Hite-Rite" allows for easy saddle height adjustment while riding, by opening and closing the seat quick release lever, enabling a higher saddle for climbs and flats, and a lower saddle for mountain descents. It is truly the original dropper seatpost system.

What do you think? This incredibly simple structure is just great. (Naturally, you'll need a lever-type seat clamp, not a bolt-type.)

There are three lengths (travel amounts): XTRA-HITE 4.5” DROP, STANDARD-HITE 2.5” DROP, and RACE-HITE 1.5” DROP.

Choose as you like?

(Please note that setting can be somewhat sensitive, as compatibility varies between the frame, seat clamp, seat pin length, seatpost, and clamp area.)

From the craftsmanship to the packaging, this really feels like an American product! It's very appealing.
